Prioritizing the Desire to Learn

In homes worldwide, the desire to learn is shrinking, and the desire to be entertained is increasing. (Does anyone care to disagree?)

This spells serious trouble.

Parents must become the dominant check on this phenomenon by prioritizing:

• learning over grades,

• curiosity over standardization,

• service over self-esteem, and

• production over consumption.
